Welcome to the family here at Preschool Canada Brampton East! Our center is home away from home for nearly 100 children. Here at the Brampton East location, we pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming, nurturing, family like environment. We have created our own community within our center and we work together to support one and other. Children come to our center from all walks of life.
We welcome diversity and embrace differences. While we maintain professionalism and our duty to uphold policies and procedures, we also do what we can to make each individual child feel they are special, welcomed and uniquely valued.
Our educators focus on teaching children through their observations and experiences. We strive to prepare our children to enter kindergarten feeling confident and ready to learn. We focus on each child’s small and large successes and we work together as a community to improve upon weaknesses and goals. Our children participate in learning engagements throughout the day, they enjoy outdoor play, they learn critical independence skills and we always squeeze in time for a warm hug from one of our friendly educators. When children leave the comfortable arms of their families for the first time to come to childcare, we want them to feel just as at home with us as they do with their families. When you walk into our center, you see the smiling faces, and you can feel the love the children have of learning.
Director of Eh to Zed Preschool Canada, Brampton East
I would like to introduce myself as Jessica Gangaram, Director of Eh to Zed Preschool Canada, Brampton East. My 10 plus years of experience in childcare and extensive education are what led me to this position. I have worked in all roles in childcare. I have been an educator in all age groups for 6 years and a supervisor of a centre for 6 years. I attended Sheridan College in 2004 where I graduated with honours from the Early Childhood Education Program. I then went on to pursue my education at the university level. I possess an undergraduate Bachelor degree in Sociology as well as my Bachelor of Education in the primary junior division. I am registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and the Ontario College of Teachers. I have many years of experience working with early learning partners; such as: Ministry of Education, Resource Consultants, Inclusion Support Workers, and Municipal public health units. In my role as Director for Eh to Zed Preschool
Canada, I act as a support for staff, parents, children and community partners. A hug part of my role is maintaining all compliances as set out in the Ontario Early Years Act. Licensed childcare comes with many regulations that need to be followed. My focus at the center is firstly, the children’s safety, and secondly that they are receiving quality programing in a place where they can be resilient and enjoy coming to every day! I will work alongside educators and families to help solve issues, improve quality and ensure your child is receiving the best possible care. As a mother of 3 myself; I know firsthand the importance of knowing your child is happy and safe while in childcare. I look forward to working with you all. My wish for your child while joining our Preschool Canada family is that they engage in meaningful, authentic learning experiences, while learning critical social interaction skills while in our care.
