Team building is all about working as a team on a collaborative task. We encourage the children to work together therefore it is important for our staff to also participate in team building activities.
Yesterday our Aurora management team participated in a team building activity. We were given clues and the approximate location of the “treasure”
We had to work together and problem solve in order to find the treasure.
This activity is great for the following;
- Communication/Language
- Trust in one another
- Working together
- Problem Solving
- Math Skills
- Map reading
We used an app called “geocaching” for this activitiy. This app is free and wonderful for families to use. This activity was used as a team building activity for our management team, it was very successful that we will be incorporating what we learned during this activity within our centres.
Preschool Canada encourages every location to start off their staff meetings with a team building activity which helps to increase communication within the centre and building on relationships.
Our Aurora team will be offering a summer camp 2019 program and they will be offering similar activity’s with the children. We will be focusing on activities to think outside the box and working together as a team increasing communication with one another.
